Sounds a little vague? Let's dive in!
In my first assignment of E Skills, we have to follow a business' social media for for weeks and report in own words what this company is doing.
Time to introduce you to a company overseas that managed to spark my attention all the way back to Belgium and give you a guided tour four weeks down the road of their social media.
First off all I would briefly like to tell you what the company does and where my interest originated from to follow this specific business. It all comes back to Ryan Serhant. Today Ryan is a prominent real estate broker and entrepreneur, who got famous after his role in the reality TV show "Million Dollar Listing New York" and his successful real estate brokerage, Serhant. However Ryan wasn’t a real estate broker to begin with. His dream was to pursue an acting career. However, he found his true passion and future was in the real estate industry and decided to transition his career path.
Our company of today; Serhant is a New York-based real estate brokerage founded by Ryan Serhant in 2008. The company has grown into one of the leading real estate firms in the city, specializing in luxury residential properties. Serhant focuses on providing exceptional client service and employs a team of experienced agents to assist buyers, sellers, and investors in the real estate market. Why did I chose this company as my inspiration point? Because I have always been interested in the real estate sector. I always watched broker shows on tv as a kid growing up and I still find it really enjoyable to learn about the industry and gain insight knowledge about sources of inspiration to perhaps move forward in in my own professional career development. Why Serhant? Because Ryan is not only very successful he is also a very enjoyable person to watch and learn from. His enthusiasm along with his knowledge and professionalism has always been intriguing for me and therefor his company is my preferred choice for the following report. I would like to take you on this journey with me and follow Serhant from 1 July till 29 July 2023.

Why would this be interesting?
Following the social media of a company or sector you are interested in can give insight in to what you need to known, see or engage in when you wish to enter this sector yourself. One can also learn from the social media tactics and haptics of a company to see which ones could be utilized for your own (professional) objectives. Furthermore this documentation is related to the first assignment of the course of E Skills, part of the international business management program held in Artevelde University College Ghent.
How did i solve this assignment?
I first chose a company that sparked my interest and then ensured that i followed the company and took note of their updates day-by-day. Furthermore i managed to screenshot the four weeks of content and write what they are portraying in my own words and through the eyes of my own audience experience. I used my smartphone, computer and subscribed to their official Instagram account where i was able to find the needed information. I also looked for a relevant instructional video to add with this report and ended up choosing for a video of Ryan Serhant teaching how to be succesfull real estate. I choose this video not only because it is super relevant to our topic of today, it also showcases the amazing energy that Ryan has and showcases combined with teaching us the tips and tricks of the real estate world from his professional background. A text book example of an instructional video that teaches us something but is also fun and easy to watch. Therefor my choice of today.
